The Ordo Stella Matutina is a continuation of the traditional teachings of the historic Golden Dawn Hermetic Society (often referred to as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn) and its offshoot Order of the Stella Matutina, through the process of Initiation and the dissemination of the classical Golden Dawn Knowledge Lectures. In addition to these classical Knowledge Lectures, there are additional traditional papers and lectures on a variety of esoteric subjects that make up the corpus of study within the Western Mystery Tradition of which the Ordo Stella Matutina is just one school.
We are not a religion nor a “spiritual cult”, but a magical and mystical school that uses the hidden symbolism found in the religions of Western cultures which include, but are not limited to, ancient Egyptian, ancient Greek, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and Judeo-Christianity.
The Ordo Stella Matutina uses a matricular system in that information is organized in such a way that certain teachings are reserved for students who have passed a certain point in their occult studies.
Students are tested in each grade and are then initiated into the next grade before they are able to proceed with the studies and practical work associated with that specific grade.
